Whilst closed due to Covid-19 the entire hotel has undergone a thorough deep clean. We have adopted some new measures to keep our guests safe and we are ready to welcome you back to the Waterside. We must apologise in advance if some of our usual friendly and good customer service touches have been withdrawn for your safety and that of our colleagues.

Our Colleagues – All our colleagues that are ready to welcome you back to The Waterside will have had their temperature checked before the start of their shift to ensure that they are fit and well. In addition to this, new procedures will be put in place to help identify team members who may be feeling ill, or are displaying symptoms, before their shift starts.
Perspex Screens – We have installed Perspex screens at the reception desk to help with social distancing.
Additional Products – We will be providing additional cleaning products for guests and teams to use, including antibacterial soap, hand gel and cleaning wipes. We have sanitiser units in numerous locations across the site.
High Touch Points – All high-touch points in public areas will receive extra attention (door handles, switches, table tops), using cleaning products that have been checked and verified as effective against COVID-19.
Electrostatic Spraying – We have invested in state of the art, new cleaning equipment that uses Electrostatic Technology. This revolutionary cleaning system provides even distribution of cleaning products and totally disinfects every surface it coats.
Deliveries – To keep our teams and guests safe, we have adopted new measures to ensure the safe handling of items within our hotel.
Training – Prior to opening, our teams will be fully trained on our new cleaning protocols and the measures needed to keep themselves and our guests safe.
Bedroom Seals – Your bedroom door will be sealed on arrival to ensure nobody has entered after final cleaning checks have been carried out by our Housekeeping Manager.
Laundry – Our bed linen and towels are washed at 71 degrees, This ensures thermal disinfection of linen in line with UK healthcare standards.
15 Point Cleaning Plan – A 15 Touch Point plan is carried out for each bedroom and bathroom ensuring that all high touch point areas are cleaned thoroughly.
Items Removed – We have removed cushions, throws, tissue boxes, and all printed materials in every bedroom.
Toiletries – A 50ml disposable bottle of shampoo and conditioner is placed in each bathroom.
Fallow Rooms – Where possible, rooms will be allocated so that they are left fallow for 48 hours before you arrive.
Servicing of Your Room – During your stay, bedrooms will only be serviced upon request, fresh towels and toiletries will be left outside your door daily.
We encourage our guests to take advantage of the Waterside Voyager App and enjoy a contact-free hotel experience. You will be presented with a link to the App on booking to access a range of services including:
- Pre-check in and check out online.
- Order food from our room service menu.
- View hotel information.
Parking – During your stay you can take advantage of free parking with zero touch points.
Hand Sanitiser – There is a hand sanitiser unit at the main hotel entrance and we will be asking all guests to sanitise their hands before entry.
Temperature Check – We have installed a Thermal Imaging Camera which will record guests’ temperatures as they enter the hotel. If your temperature is above 37.8 degrees, we will issue you with guidance.
On Check-in – Our hotel staff will provide you with a sanitised key card and 12 handy wipes upon check-in.
We are going above and beyond to ensure the site is clean and sanitised for your every use. Management will be checking each area every hour to ensure that cleaning standards remain as high as possible.
Perspex Screens – We have installed perspex screens on our Coffee Shop and Bar for guest and staff safety.
Room Service – Room Service will be available via the Waterside Voyager App, simply order your room service online – this will then be delivered outside your door.
Breakfast Service – A fully plated service will be available at breakfast. A grab and go option is also available from reception.
Menus – All menus will be single-use disposable menus.
Social Distancing – Tables will be arranged to adhere to social distancing and we ask that you maintain a respectful distance to other guests during your stay.
Condiments and Cutlery – All condiments and cutlery will be individually wrapped and will be brought to you.
Contactless Payment – For convenience and to minimise contact, hotel guests will be asked to use contactless payment for any purchases where possible.
